Malicious vandals caused an estimated $3,000 damage at Illinois Valley Golf Course last week. Hooligans broke into the cart shed, hot wired nine golf carts and then went joyriding on the course, tearing up the greens and destroying signs. Carts were found scattered throughout the property, several stuck in ditches. Evidence of the incident was discovered Friday morning, Jan. 29.
