HELPING HISTORY - The historic Stith-Naucke house, adjacent to Kerbyville Museum in Kerby, needs fresh paint and other restorative work. A replica dollhouse, built by Michael McDermott, will be raffled to raise funds to match a grant for the cost of restoration. The replica is displayed at the Evergreen Federal Bank branch in Cave Junction. Tickets are available at the museum or at Evergreen.

?CRABTACULAR CRABTASTIC? - The eighth annual all-you-can-eat crab feed, hosted by Kerby Masonic Lodge 18, will be held on Saturday, Feb. 6 at the RCC Belt Bldg. in Kerby. Tickets are available at I.V. Guns & Ammo, Yanase Jewelers, Redwood Service Center, and Dave?s Outdoor Power Equipment.

SELMA SCENE - Selma Community & Education Center (SCEC) will hold a fund-raising Cookie Exchange & Sale on Saturday, Feb. 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Enjoy a day of baking, exchanging and eating cookies. Bring five dozen of your favorite cookies to eat, exchange and donate for sale. Bring them already made or bake them in SCEC commercial kitchen.

Also, SCEC will hold a Sweethearts Soup, Dinner & Dance on Saturday, Feb. 13 featuring hearty soups, bread, salad and dessert. ?Hot music? also is promised. Phone 541-415-1000 for ticket information.

NOTEPAD - Julia Raneri, a Selma resident and acupuncturist, is on her way to Haiti with the Acupuncturists Without Borders organization following the earthquake that devastated the capital, Port au Prince, on Jan. 12. Raneri and her organization have been asked to bring their techniques to provide relief for patients in connection with surgery and post-traumatic stress where surgeons are low on anesthesia. Raneri will lead some 200 volunteers who will conduct an assessment and plan for a long-term project in Haiti ... A free presentation on the symptoms and solutions for dyslexia by Susan Barton, founder of Bright Solutions for Dyslexia, is set for Tuesday, Feb. 23, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Rogue Valley Community Church, 623 Pine St. in Rogue River.
