January 19 - The public is invited to a presentation about Healing Hearts and Hooves, Illinois Valley“s new theraputic riding program for people with disabilities, It will be at Wild River Brewery at 7:00pm. Topics include registration & class information, volunteer and donation opportunities.

January 29 - Cabaret Dinner Theater, Selma Community Center, 18255 Redwood Hwy, Selma, OR Advance Tickets only: Available at $30 at IV Family Coalition, 535 East River St., Cave Junction, (541) 592-6139. Doors open 5pm for appetizer bar, music, local wine and micro-brews bar, and silent auction bidding. East Fork Band will perform before the show and at intermission. Evening ends at 8 pm. Dinner and show begin at 6:15 pm. Show lineup: Singer Libby Goines, Jake Johnstone and Ryan Nolan comedy sketch, Belly Dance group, Little Oregon Big Band, Deb Murphy comedy, “Janis Joplin“ (Carol Valentine), “Patsy Cline“ (Chelsea Hocker), a modern dance act, and a singer/ comedy/actress act. There will be silent and “live“ auctions of hotel lodgings, art items, many collectibles, massage, florist service, photo portrait and photo CD, horse training, custom Hawaiian shirt, fine gem necklace from Yanase Jewelers, Out N About zip lines course, and restaurant gift certificate. (50 items in all!) This event benefits the IV Family Coalition“s community service programs, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and resource center serving Illinois Valley.

January 29 & 30 - Siskiyou Film Festival , A Siskiyou Project Production. Grants Pass High School Performing Arts Center. Evening show starts at 7:00pm. Siskiyou Filmfest features films focusing on issues critical to our Siskiyou Wild Rivers region and the planet.

February 5 - You“re invited to join us for the Dedication of The Sportsman“s Tavern & McGrew“s Restaraunt as they brcome the official “Waterin“ Hole“ of the ECV. Ceremonies will be held in O’brien at McGrew“s at High Noon, with a Shrimp & Chicken Gumbo Feed following at The Sportsman“s Tavern in Cave Junction. Cost is $6.00 per bowl until it“s all gone. All procedes go to the replacement of the Waldo Plaque. Sponsored ny Chapter 1859 of the ECV
