ILLINOIS VALLEY BOYS varsity basketball team was dunned for 33 fouls during its game against Phoenix in Ken Mann Memorial Gym Friday night, Feb. 9. The Cougars were defeated 61-47. The Pirates’ Mike Shepherd led scorers with 21 points, and the visitors made 27 of 40 free throws. I.V. scoring was led by Kevin Snook, who tallied 9 points, 12 rebounds and six blocked shots. The loss took the Cougars to 0-12 in the Skyline Conference. I.V. was to play Rogue River Tuesday, Feb. 13 in an away game.
